Minimum rental period: For all rentals there is a minimum hire period of seven (7) days
For one way hires between Christchurch and Auckland or vice versa the minimum hire period is fourteen (14) days

    • Vehicle Operations Manual, road maps, travel guides, camping park directories, gas and/or electric heater, bucket, broom, towels, LPG gas bottle, clothes pegs, dustpan & brush

  • Cooking and Dining

    • Crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, frying pan, grater, chopping board, salad & serving bowls, storage containers, toaster, coffee plunger, kettle, teapot, tea towels

    Optional: bicycle hire
    United Campervans provide bicycle racks and modern bicycles for hire. Racks can be fitted to any vehicle model in the fleet. Suitable models are available for children. A helmet (compulsory in New Zealand), cycle lock and repair kit are supplied with each bicycle.
    Airport pickup / hotel transfers: Free transfers on vehicle pick up from the airport or city location to our conveniently located depots
    One way rental: One way hires are possible between Auckland and Christchurch and vice versa providing the rental period is a minimum of 14 days
    Depot location(s): Auckland and Christchurch, both close to the airport
    Assistance: United Campervans offers a 24 hour telephone number for On-Road Assistance in case of accidents or breakdowns
    Excess: All rates include basic United Insurance cover. An Excess/Bond of NZ$5000 applies, however this may be reduced as follows:
  • Payment of NZ$20 per day reduces the Excess/Bond
    to NZ$1200 (NZ$2,400 for hirers under the age of 25 years)
  • Payment of NZ$32 per day (or NZ$44 per day for hirers under the age of 25 years) reduces the Excess/Bond to Nil
    • Smoking allowed: Yes
    Pets allowed: Animals are not permitted to travel in any of United's vehicles

    Pick up / drop off times: 08.00 to 16.30 daily except Christmas
